Ford Mach E release

Just this week Ford unveiled a new vehicle based on the appearance lines of the Ford Mustang at the LA Auto Show. That vehicles is the Ford Mach E and yes, it is an all electric powered SUV.

As mentioned above the styling for this SUV takes all it’s lines from the very successful Mustang. Front end light surrounds and general nose shape give the Mach E that Mustang feel. The tail multi slash lights and rear valance finish off the look and scream Mustang.

Closer look at the Ford Mach E

Three models are being offered. The First Edition and Premium Edition will be offered in late 2020 with the Select Edition being slated for early 2021. Models will be equipped with rear wheel or all wheel drive. These models are expected to be is the price range of $44K to 60K USD. There may be rebates for electric vehicles based on your location so check out local incentives at the time of release to get more accurate pricing

  The Ford Mach E will come with 2 different battery packages. A 76 Kwh battery providing a driving distance of 230 miles and the 99Kwh battery is claimed to have a 300 mile driving range. Charging is available through a level 3 Quick Charge or standard charging that would be done on a home charger.

The Ford Mach E is an SUV that has seating for 5 adults and not only a rear cargo area but also a small front truck. It is Bluetooth equipped so you can connect it to your cellphone. There is also a large LCD touch screen control panel located in the middle of the front dash.

With many car companies jumping into the electric powered vehicle market it is not surprising Ford has joined the ranks. Only time will tell how well it sells and if consumers are ready to make the move to electric power.
